About Convocation
At the IIS (deemed to be University), Convocation is the graduation ceremony to award degrees/diplomas to students declared qualified in various examinations and honorary degrees to be conferred on distinguished persons with unique record of serving the society or contributing meaningfully to the world of knowledge and wisdom. On this prestigious day, students who have excelled in specific fields as per University norms are also awarded University gold medals and endowment awards.

Mr Manu Agarwal, founder and CEO of Naaptol Online Shopping Pvt Ltd, is known in the business world for his diverse skill-set especially in the areas of Business Development, Start-ups, E-commerce, Business Intelligence, Entrepreneurship, Management and Marketing. An alumnus of Maheshwari Public School, Jaipur, Mr Agarwal was a top of the class Electronics Engineering graduate from IIT Kanpur and also holds a Masters in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, USA. In 2003, he founded AMN Soft Technologies which is now a 200+ member company providing solutions in banking, retailing and e-travel. Mr Agarwal’s claim to fame, however, is being the brain behind Naaptol, an online shopping portal, established in 2008. In 2013, Mr Manu Agarwal received the Most Admired Entrepreneur award by ABP News Brand Excellence awards. In 2014, he was also felicitated with the Entrepreneur of the Year award at the Entrepreneur India Awards organised by Franchise India, a business magazine.
